   How sad

   I was at first in awe of the gorillas eyes and the intellect they held. Then…then the sadness hit me…

   Wow - you capture the active mind of these apes so well. Quite a crushing but inspiring piece. Lovely footage and juxtapositions.

   Very sobering for any type of animal lover. Reminds me of the macaw I owned for 2 years. The bird was not meant to live in a cage.

    Robert, this is so so so effective. Despite the damage it would do to the visual aspect of the piece, I hope you’ll put this on You Tube etc. - powerful activist video by someone who really understands the images he’s working with.

    New works! And such excellent work! The music is perfect, and the story you tell is without words - that is to say, free of language - and therefore universal. Listen to Brook, consider YouTube & other venues for distribution that can spread this message.

    amazing video! liked the eyes. and the editing you made make as feel as being so near the lonely and sad caged ape, but at the same time you get to see him so big and natural/real.

    My first thoughts were based around the Cadburys advert, and how they have created a reaction by using such an animal in an advertisement. I don’t think there is enough information about these animals in the world, and people don’t realise what they have to go through. This video is insightful and informative without intending to be. It shocks the viewer, as they are able to gaze into the animals eyes and then be shocked by the material afterwards. It really is a story.
