Brilliant video, love the way the three panels break up the set. the best part for me is the black stop before the image of the homeless man. it has a much greater impact this way especially as it works alongside the music.
it makes me consider a lot of different emotions of towards myself and towards the man in the image and what he represents.

Well, Sam's pretty much said it all! It is that minute attention to detail, which is in all your work, which helps us to see the subject with new eyes.
I was particularly struck by the blurring of the left third of the frame in the first piece -no reason to it except for poetry apparently, but there's no doubt that it mysteriously helps the whole thing to cohere..
Great!

2 stunning pieces in a row Robert. Both similar however both a story unto themselves. The timing, the feeling, the music...perfect.

This is pure art.

Fantastic.

It's strange. The homeless seems rich because of the effects of color and blur. Great work

it is truly amazing to watch the latest two video pieces:

there is such an incredible condensation on many levels, in the short time.
with the subtle shift of hues, clarity and precise framing(s) and within the frame, dimensions are explored.
cut-up is not cut-up anymore, there seems to be something new under way, with the [old] mechanic(s) of split-screen.

i suppose it could be about visual timing.... focusing, blurring, separating. re-uniting. slicing up and mounting anew. and it certainly is about a conscious, considerate, candidness in regard(s) to the seen, and to the protagonists involuntarily displayed on stage.

the two short works are in no way "peek-a-boo's".
rather a multiple dypthic, displaying a compassionate, condensed gaze, with an inherent visual utterance in a subdued, yet forceful and almost Dickensian manner.

"Home is a name, a word, it is a strong one; stronger than magician ever spoke, or spirit ever answered to, in the strongest conjuration."

in some way, you are able to give our two fellow humans from the video a home: now firmly embedded in our conscience. one could pass by these urban situations, everyday, without noticing. after seeing these two videos, not anymore.

you re-framed a conscious way to see.

thank you robert.

(i would say that this was voodling. it could probably never have been premeditated, and planed in all parts. it sort of comes together, "naturally")
